One of the great things that I love about the city of Delray Beach is the fact that so much of the area is set aside for parks and green spaces. The town plays hosts to dozens of parks—all of them accessible and offering something different for residents. Whether you’re interested in increasing your knowledge of the South Florida ecosystem, getting some hands-on experience with native flora and fauna, visiting a beautiful, pristine beach, or just having a great time with your family, there is bound to be a park or city-maintained area for you to visit—and probably more than one.

I make no secret of my opinion that Delray Beach has some of the best dining options that South Florida has to offer; whatever you’re in the mood for, there is likely to be a great restaurant that offers the exact type of cuisine you crave. One of my very favorite restaurants in the area, where I go whenever I get the chance, is Ziree Thai and Sushi.

Open since 2005, Ziree Thai offers authentic Thai cuisine, as well as fresh and often made-to-order sushi rolls. Family-owned and –operated, the five siblings create a warm, friendly atmosphere that can’t be beat anywhere in Florida, along with their stellar food. One of my favorite things about living in Delray Beach is that there is always something great to do in the city; whether it’s normal outings to the beach or one of the great parks in the area, or the year-round schedule of events that the city schedules, you can always find a reason to get out of the house. This week Delray Beach is hosting one of my favorites, its annual Tastemakers event—a great way to get a taste of some of the best restaurants on Atlantic Avenue.
