Fresh produce

The Winter GreenMarket officially ended another successful season on May 18th, 2019.  The Winter GreenMarket featured 65 + premier farmers and artisans this past season.  Snowbirds, vacationers, and year round residents enjoyed farm-fresh produce, citrus, eggs, raw milk and butter as well as 100% grass-fed and finished Florida beef, poultry, pork and lamb.  We also enjoyed artisan baked goods and hand-made items all season long.  Going to the Winter GreenMarket which is just a half block north of Atlantic Avenue has become a Saturday morning tradition for many people.  The nostalgia of going to the open air marketplace to purchase your provisions for the week is reminiscent of bygone years.  The Winter GreenMarket is charming and many people will

The most common natural disaster in the United States is flooding.  A flood can occur in any of the 50 US states and the Sunshine State is no exception.  Floods can occur anywhere there is water.  Palm Beach County is especially susceptible to flooding due tropical storms, hurricanes, and torrential rain.  Palm Beach County has a very sophisticated hazard warning system.  The Division of Emergency Management closely monitors dangerous situations.   When flood warnings are issued, the Emergency Alert System is used to get the message out to the public.  Secondly, the mass notification system which includes calling, texting, and emailing is implemented.  Click AlertPBC to opt in to receive notifications from Palm Beach County's Emergency Notification
