The New Vegan Delray Beach Beet Burger

At Mizner Residential Group, we love checking out restaurants in Delray Beach; as the city becomes more and more popular as a mecca for food lovers, there are more and more options to check out. While many love a pile of satisfying, meaty tacos or a plate of wings, The New Vegan, a few blocks away from Atlantic Avenue, is a great place to eat—without meat, and without dairy or other animal products as well.  Healthy food for the body is what you can find at The New Vegan in Delray Beach.

In order for a vegan restaurant, in particular, to propel itself into success, the flavors have to be there; The New Vegan does an amazing job, transforming natural ingredients into tasty, beautiful dishes that satisfy. According to its website, the restaurant’s

Art Basel

One of the great things about living in South Florida is the variety of events that go on throughout the year. Art Basel Miami is one of the events that we at Mizner Residential Realty look forward to the most every year; the art festival draws thousands to Miami Beach, from designers and tech savants to celebrities, musicians and the hottest up and coming artists from around the world. This year, the festival takes place from December 3rd through the 6th, with events, parties and showings throughout the city.

Art Basel first came to Miami in 2002, and marks the winter reunion of the international art world. The festival is divided up into nine sectors: Galleries, Nova, Positions, Edition, Kabinett, Public, Survey, Film, and Magazines. This year,

One of the best things about living in Delray Beach is the proximity of tons of great, independently owned businesses and shops; standing right alongside major chain stores and national boutiques, Delray Beach’s local businesses offer a wide array of unique products, services and goods that can help you to find something special for every person on your holiday gift-giving list. All of us at Mizner Residential Realty have our favorite shops and local gems—whether it’s the best fish market, or the most unique art and jewelry in the county. This holiday season, consider shopping local and supporting the community’s businesses with your gift purchases; it’s a gift that keeps giving. Here are some of our go-to businesses in the city.

With the holiday season already in full swing, and Thanksgiving just a week away, many of us—especially here at Mizner Residential Realty—are full of ambitious goals to give back to the community in some way. If you’re looking for a great place to volunteer, one of our favorite institutions is The Soup Kitchen in Boynton Beach. The non-profit has run for more than thirty years, serving those less fortunate in South Florida, and they are always looking for volunteers to help in their humble mission.

In 1983, three women—Gwen James, Veronica Payne, and Bee Brown—had a vision of feeding the local poor, and began their work with a donated van, which they used to bring sandwiches and soup to individuals and families struggling in poverty. Quickly

We’ve mentioned the weekly Delray Beach Green Market before—namely the fact that the market was open during the summer, something that the City of Delray Beach hoped would encourage year-round residents to mingle and enjoy the downtown area. But now that season is getting started, the real, true Green Market is back and bigger than ever. One of our favorite things to do on the weekends at Mizner Residential Realty has always been to check out this weekly local event, and now there are more reasons than ever for you to look into it, too.

The Delray Beach Green Market opens on Saturday, October 31, 2015 for its 20th season, situated at Old School Square Park in the heart of the downtown area. Providing locals and visitors alike with a reason to hang out,

While everyone at Mizner Residential Group loves Delray Beach, and we can’t get enough of the great restaurants and bars especially along Atlantic Avenue, Boca Raton has some great gems as well (we love Boca Raton Real Estate too). One of these great places to eat is SushiGo—a truly exceptional sushi place nestled on Federal Highway in an unassuming shopping center just West of Mizner Park.  With a combination of innovative sushi and sashimi, a comfortable setting, and the highest caliber of food, make a stop at SushiGo if you love fresh sushi and local business.

The owner of SushiGo, Chef Joe, has been making sushi for over 20 years; in fact, Chef Joe began making sushi long before his professional career—at the age of six! Before

West Palm Beach and Boca Raton may have Rocco’s Tacos (and that restaurant has a location opening in Delray Beach this week), but for all of us at Mizner Residential Group, the best place to get our Mexican soul food fix is, without a doubt, El Camino. Located on NE 2nd Ave, just off of Atlantic Avenue in the downtown Delray Beach area, this restaurant is definitely the place to go if you’re looking for great food, great drinks, and great atmosphere—whether for lunch, dinner, happy hour, or a late-night hangout.

El Camino in downtown Delray Beach is open every day at 11 am, and stays open until 2 am, with a limited late-night menu from midnight. According to the restaurant, their guiding principle is, “To exceed our guests’ expectations in all

As we get closer and closer to season, two major events loom large in the calendars of every Delray Beach resident: the annual Delray Beach Seafood and Wine Festival, and the opening of beach parking permit sales. Because we want you to be prepared, this week’s blog post is a two-part special, giving you everything you need to know about both of these important things.

At Mizner Residential Realty, one of our favorite things about living in the Delray Beach area is the constant stream of social events and festivals that continue throughout the year—especially in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. Celebrating its fourth year, the Delray Beach Seafood and Wine Festival has quickly become one of the most popular events in the social calendar, bringing

montage of food at Brule in Delray Beach

It’s no real secret that at Mizner Residential Group in Delray Beach, we love a great happy hour spot, and we love to enjoy all the great dining options that our village by the sea has to offer. Whether for a romantic night out, meeting up with friends, or entertaining family, Delray Beach—especially in the downtown area—has something for every taste. One of the great local gems we love is Brule Bistro, located just a few blocks north of Atlantic Avenue in Esplanada Plaza at 200 NE Ave #108, Delray Beach, FL, 33444 (City Walk condos above)

While not exactly a secret, Brule definitely qualifies as a local favorite, doing steady business throughout the year. The location, tucked away in the Pineapple Grove district in downtown Delray Beach, sets a

Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach, FL

One of the best things about living in Delray Beach is the social life you can enjoy in the area. At Mizner Residential Group, your Delray Beach Real Estate Brokerage, we all love any excuse to go out—and football season, both college and NFL, is always a great reason to catch up with friends. What makes it even better is that there are some great places all over the city to grab a drink and some great food, and surround yourself with fans of your favorite team.

One of my all-time favorites is Bru’s Room, located in downtown Delray. This spot is the place to be if you’re a fan of the University of Florida, University of Miami, or Florida State—they’re always packed on game day (Saturdays) and they show the NFL games on Sundays, too. In addition
