Why did you choose to become a real estate agent?

Bridging my passions for helping people, sales, and beautiful homes, a career in real estate was a natural progression for me.  I find that I enjoy combining the elements of being a sales agent, counselor, educator, appraiser, and interior design consultant, all culminating in having a positive impact on my clients in one of their largest life decisions.

It’s been a wild year here in South Florida as homes continue to sell at lightning speed. Homes are still selling at an all-time high, and inventory is low. Most of our new listings go under contract within days, and this week I sold a home for $102,000 above asking price. To say that the local real estate market is hot is an understatement. It’s on fire.

Below are 8 homes that my team, the Mizner Residential Group, recently sold, which will give you an idea of what homes in the Boca/Delray/Boynton area are selling for.

As we all know, whenever supply is less than the demand, home values are given the opportunity to rise. If you've been on the fence about selling, NOW is the time to act! Call us today at 561-495-1516 for a free market analysis to

One year ago, the coronavirus lockdowns began in South Florida and we began spending more time at home. The pandemic has changed the way many of us live and do the things we enjoy. We are fortunate to be able to enjoy al fresco dining year-round here in South Florida, and restaurants have made changes to ensure that guests feel safe and comfortable.

Here are some of our favorite outdoor restaurants in Palm Beach County.

Best outdoor date night restaurants

The surroundings at Sundy House in Delray are extraordinary- there is nothing else in the area to match them. Outdoor dining means sitting in a botanical garden, with small gazebos housing two to six diners, set along a pond or bamboo glade.

I’ve always been a big fan of happy hour. After a long day of selling Delray Beach real estate I like to get out and have some fun at my favorite local spots, but I also like to get home early (very helpful when you have a 15-month-old baby who likes to start her day at 5:30 a.m.)

The coronavirus has put an end to safely enjoying happy hour at the bar, but luckily many local restaurants have adapted and begun offering it at the tables. Here are some of my favorite local spots offering great happy hour deals at their socially distanced tables:

Delray Beach-area homes are selling at an all-time high & inventory is low.

Our neighbors up North and out West are flocking South. Between the pandemic and taxes, sunny South Florida is looking more and more attractive to our feeder markets.

Most people want single family homes with yards (huge bonus if it has a pool), and there aren't enough houses to satisfy this influx of new Floridians. As we all know, whenever supply is less than the demand, home values are given the opportunity to rise.

If you've been on the fence about selling, now is the time to act and get top dollar!

Pam Orzan is originally from Cleveland, and she has called Delray Beach home for over 20 years. Pam has consistently won awards since starting her real estate career in 2000. Here, she shares what she loves most about real estate and the South Florida lifestyle.

Why did you choose to become a real estate agent?

My background was in the apparel industry. I was 28 and an assistant buyer for a women’s fashion catalog. I found myself inside all the time, and not happy with my career. My mom had her house on the market, and I went over for dinner. Her realtor was there. She was happy, social, and a lot like me. She convinced me to give it a try, and if I didn't like it, I could go back to my old career path...meanwhile 20 years later!

Why did you choose to become a real estate agent?

I initially got into real estate because I have a love for homes. Then I fell in love with working with the people.

What do you love most about your job?

I really love helping people realize their dreams. Real estate can be a stressful situation. My goal is to take the stress out of the transaction for people and protect their interests. As a joke, when people ask what I do, I say I practice therapy through real estate loll!!

What are you most excited about regarding the local real estate market?
