The beautiful South Florida weather that we wait all summer for has arrived, and isn’t it amazing? These cool mornings that turn into warm, sunny afternoons have us feeling like the luckiest people in the United States right now! It’s undoubtedly the best time to be outside, and Palm Beach County is full of wonderful parks, nature trails, and golf courses.

Aside from enjoying a beach day, here are some of our favorite things to do outside right now!

Great Places to Enjoy Nature

El Rio Trail: Walk or bike this 6.7-mile trail which runs through Boca Raton and spot turtles, great blue herons, owls, butterflies and iguanas along the canal.

Green Cay Nature Center & Wetlands: A one-mile boardwalk that overlooks 100 acres of wetland. Great for spotting birds, alligators, iguanas and turtles!

Wakodahatchee Wetlands: A smaller version of Green Cay

Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge: 145,189 acres of northern Everglades and cypress swamp. Lots of great walking trails and wildlife to be spotted!

Delray Oaks Natural Area: a quiet, peaceful place to enjoy a walk through the woods.

Lake Ida Park: boat ramps, playgrounds, a dog park, walking trails, and more!
