Things to do in Palm Beach County

Are you looking for something fun to do this weekend in Palm Beach County?  Here are a few ideas to consider.  The following restaurants/bars offer so much more than just good food and drinks.  For good reason, locals and visitors alike flock to these establishments to enjoy a unique Florida experience that cannot be replicated anywhere else.  There is something for everyone whether you are looking for a new brunch spot, a bar with live entertainment or a place where you can go and keep the kids entertained.

The Sandbar, 40 S Ocean Blvd, Delray Beach is the perfect place to stop for refreshment as you wrap up a day of sun and sand at Delray Beach.  The Sandbar is a casual oceanfront tiki bar that has a sandy patio.  It's the perfect place to enjoy beach breezes and ocean views while enjoying a refreshing drink, snack, or sandwich.  The Sandbar opens daily at 11 am.  Happy hour is Monday - Friday from 4 pm - 7 pm so it's a great time to stop by after you pack up your beach gear.  Premium well liquors, draft beers, select apps, wines and champagne are all half price.

Banana Boat, 739 E Ocean Ave, Boynton Beach, has been a landmark “anchor” in Boynton Beach since 1978 following it's relocation from the original Fort Lauderdale location.  Banana Boat is located directly on the intracoastal water and both the indoor and patio seating have panoramic views of the waterway and the boats as they come and go.  Banana Boat is open 11 am - 2 am every day and Happy Hour in the bar area is Mon - Sat, 4 pm - 7 pm.  Tuesday Night is Ladies Night - two complimentary drinks or shots for the ladies plus half price appetizers.  Sunday Brunch is 11 am - 3 pm.  Weekly live entertainment at Banana Boat includes a DJ on Ladies Night and local bands playing on the weekends.

Old Key Lime House, 300 E Ocean Ave, Lantana, is South Florida's oldest waterfront restaurant and largest tiki bar.  Old Key Lime House is known for their local fresh catch, award winning key lime pies and having the best sunset views in the area.  Stop by the Kids Zone play area or gator-viewing area to keep your little ones entertained during your outing.  Old Key Lime House serves lunch and dinner during the week and brunch on Saturday and Sunday.  Save room for a slice of key lime pie!  Happy Hour is offered only in the bar area and runs from 4 pm - 7 pm.  Follow Old Key Lime House on Facebook to check their live music schedule.

Guanabanas Restaurant, 960 N Hwy A1A, Jupiter overlooks the Jupiter River.  Guanabanas, a taste of paradise, is an open air restaurant that is known for its laid back island atmosphere where locals, celebrities, and tourists alike always feel welcome.  Tiki huts, banyan trees and coquina paths are the backdrop for the open air tiki bar and stage.  If it's date night, be sure to ask for a table in the Overlook Patio section for the most romantic table.  The Overlook Patio is secluded and quiet and also has an unobstructed view of the river.  The food tastes so fresh at Guanabanas because they source all of their seafood from local purveyors.  Guanabanas serves lunch and dinner 7 days a week starting at 11:30 am.  Breakfast is served Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 am - 11 am and a brunch buffet is available Saturday and Sunday from 10 am - 2 pm.

Whatever you decide to do - Enjoy!
